3. Ranchers
Ranchers is a web font optimized for body text. It is based on the American Type Founder’s Baskerville from 1941, but it has a taller x-height, wider counters and a little less contrast, that allow it to work well for reading on-screen.

4. Parisienne

5. Pacifico
Pacifico is an original and fun brush script handwriting font by Vernon Adams which was inspired by the 1950s American surf culture.
Pacifico is a well know and popular font that many designers use. The design is bold, cursive and handwritten. This cursive font is a must for my list of cake fonts. You can create interesting chocolate text effects.
If you add a candy cane pattern you can turn the Pacifico font into a cute candy font. Use the candy cane pattern from the MockoFun’s list of patterns to create this candy text style. For the both candy text effects, I used two text layers with blending modes.

6. Sansita
This friendly font is perfect for my collection of cake fonts because of its charming appearance and versatility.
This type of bold font works quite well with the cake patterns from the MockoFun gallery. Make really cool cake text effects in just a few seconds. It is not a cake writing font, but you can use it for making cake logos or pastry logos.

7. Delius Swash Caps
Delius Swash Caps font is a curly font that you can use to make Birthday cakes for kids.

The Cookie font is another great Google web font. Cookie is a script typeface based on brush calligraphy. 9. Coiny
The Coiny font has a structure based on simple geometrical shapes, and is inspired by the vernacular designs seen around every big city. The forms are similar to those found with writing made with a rounded brush point. This cute rounded font is a lot of fun for titles and headlines.

10. Carter One
Carter One is a reworking of particular casual typeforms that were popular around the mid Twentieth Century, often found used areas such advertising or pulp fiction book covers. The letter forms of Carter have been reshaped and digitized for use as a webfont. The counters have been opened up a little and the stems optimized for use as display font for modern web browsers.
It may come as a surprise but, this versatile font is a good choice for a cake font. As you can see in the preview image, I added an outline stroke and a dripping chocolate pattern to make this chocolate text effect in MockoFun.

11. Bungee
Bungee is a font family that celebrates urban signage by wrangling the Latin alphabet to work vertically as well as horizontally; with separately glyphs, spacing, and kerning for each orientation.

12. Bubblegum Sans
Bubblegum Sans is upbeat, flavor-loaded, brushalicious letters for the sunny side in the street. It bounces with joy and tells an awesome story.

13. Boogaloo
The structure of Boogaloo is that of classic American lettering, found so often in old LP albums cover art from the 1960s, when Latin music became very popular and preceding the birth of the musical phenomenon of Salsa. Functionally this typeface can be used to display texts that wish to remind readers of the 1960s, Latin music. There is movement, coolness and happiness across all its forms.

15. Black and White Picture Font
This is quite an unexpected name for this cute font. This is placed in the category of distorted fonts, distressed fonts and grunge fonts. Really? I see it more like a cake font or a cupcake font 
Because of its curly design with drops and splatters, this font is one of my favorite from this list of cake fonts. The text effects was also made online with the MockoFun text editor.

16. Sacramento
The Sacramento typeface is a monoline, semi-connected script inspired by hand-lettering artist brochure work of the 1950’s and 1960’s. It stands on a thin line between formal and casual lettering styles.
Use cursive fonts like Sacramento to mimic a handwritten text. It is one of the best cake writing fonts available in this list. Perfect especially for writing on wedding cakes.

17. Bigelow Rules
This is a serif font but with a quite fancy design. Each letter has a different baseline making it informal, playful and fun.

Bevan is really a remodeling of the conventional slab serif display typeface created by Heinrich Jost during the 1930s. Bevan can be used in bold screen typography in fashionable website browsers.
I picked this serif font for my list of cake fonts simply because it’s bold and works great with patterns. You can make headlines and titles for posters, flyers and brochures using Bevan. 19. Arbutus
Arbutus is a sturdy medium contrast slab serif font with a faceted or spiked treatment. Arbutus is inspired by American wood type. This decorative font looks a lot like a cookie or a biscuit with bites.
Because of its unusual shape, I found Arbutus quite useful for my collection of free cake fonts and I hope you will use it in your projects.

20. Almendra
Almendra is a typeface design based on calligraphy. Its style is related to the chancery and Gothic hands. It is intended to be used in long texts, especially young children’s literature.
This playful side of its design is the link between this font and a cake font. The serif details of this font type look like dripping chocolate or cream.

21. Alex Brush
Google web font, Alex Brush is a beautifully flowing brush script. It has short ascenders and descenders allowing a legibility not seen in other script fonts. This handwritten font is perfect for writing text on a wedding invitation and for wedding cakes as well.

22. Aladin
Aladin is a calligraphic art deco face with an eastern touch, designed by Angel Koziupa and produced by Alejandro Paul. Casual, airy counters and friendly terminals give it an advantage as a packaging font for exotic coffees and teas. So, you can use it as coffee font as well as cake font.
Though the name of this font sounds oriental, Aladin has a handwritten calligraphy look. Give it a try and use this font in the MockoFun text editor.

23. Grand Hotel Font
Grand Hotel finds its inspiration from the title screen of the 1937 film “Cafe Metropole” starring Tyrone Power. This condensed upright connecting script has a classic vibe to it. It has a wonderful weight to it that feels subtly tied to Holiday and Bakery themed designs, even though it can work outside that genre.

24. Ribeye Marrow
Ribeye and Ribeye Marrow are reminiscent of a cartoon tattoo style of lettering, but exhibit a playfulness that breaks traditional weight distribution across its letterforms. An edgy attitude, friendly syncopation, and highly legible letterforms makes these fonts a real pair of charmers.
