What is Yu-Gi-Oh

Yu-Gi-Oh! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kazuki Takahashi. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine between September 1996 and March 2004. The plot follows the story of a boy named Yugi Mutou, who solves the ancient Millennium Puzzle. The Japanese title, Yūgiō (遊戯王), stylized as “Yu-Gi-Oh!” (遊☆戯☆王), translates into English as “Game King” or “King of Games”. Yūgi (遊戯) is also the name of the protagonist, while Yūgiō is also the title the second personality inhabiting his body holds as an invincible game master.
